DEARING, Ga. - Mrs. Marguerite Balmer, 80, wife of the late Chester Balmer, entered into rest Friday, October 13, 2006 at University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Thomson, with the Father William Williams officiating. Interment was in the Alleluia Community Cemetery in Dearing.
Mrs. Balmer was a member of the Alleluia Community in Augusta and a member of the Queen of Angels Catholic Church, where she volunteered with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Survivors include her son James Balmer, Dearing; daughter Suzanne Scott, Augusta; two sisters, Ellen Nora Rangel, Pasco, WA and Betty Anne Meynardle, Long Beach, CA; grandchildren Theresa Bales, Ellen (Bill) Probus, James (Michelle) Scott, John Kenneth Scott, Robert Scott, Yvette Fink Cassella (Bob), Chester James Balmer, Jr., George "Joey" (Karin) Balmer and Lisa Ellen; 22 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Elaine Balmer.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
