Hammond takes judge oath

Thomson lawyer Britt Hammond was sworn in as juvenile court judge in McDuffie County Superior Court Thursday, Oct. 14. Superior Court Judge E. Purnell Davis said Judge Hammond has a great passion for Juvenile Court. Judge Roger Dunaway said with the successful treatment of juveniles in Juvenile Court, hopefully they won't see him later in Superior Court. Approximately 25 family members and friends attended the swearing in ceremony. Judge Hammond said he is grateful to be given the opportunity.
