NORTHWOOD, N.H. - Mrs. June A. Downing, 59, Northwood, N.H., died October 1, 2007, at Concord Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Memorial services were held October 7 at Purdy Memorial.
She was born in Waterbury, Conn., in 1948 to Jenness and Helen Underhill. A dedicated registered nurse for almost 40 years, she worked in hospitals in New York City and New Hampshire, recently as a certified wound specialist. She was a lover of animals and loved gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Downing; two sons, David and Joshua Schwalb; daughter-in-law, Brooke Thomson; brother, William Underhill; mother, Helen Underhill, formerly of Thomson; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
