APPLING, Ga. - Mr. Ralph Wayne "Tuga" Pearson, 52, husband of Judy S. Pearson, entered into rest on Friday, October 19, 2007, at Heartland Hospice, Augusta.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2007, at Kiokee Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Hartman officiating. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Pearson was born in McDuffie County and lived his entire life in Appling. He was owner of Evans Garage Doors. He was a member of Kiokee Baptist Church and the Tony Lively Sunday School Class. His passion of softball included coaching for the Columbia County Recreation Department and the Dominators Softball Travel Team. He was a loving husband and father and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Slaughter Pearson; two children, Brandon R. Pearson and Brittany R. Pearson; his mother, Betty C. Pearson; one brother, Doug (Debbie) Pearson; and one sister, Millie (David) Durrence, all of Appling; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Jean Diamond, Grovetown. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton Pearson.
Pallbearers were Tony McNair, Harlem; Randy Tankersley, Appling; Donnie Brown, Appling; Tanner Hayden, Appling; Matt Boiter, Harlem; and Manny Dalis, Appling.
