DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Ronald Clay Skinner, 71, husband of Mrs. Bonnie Chedwick Skinner, entered into rest Monday, October 22, 2007, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Starling Funeral Home, with the Chaplain Denise Morgan officiating. Interment was in Walker Cemetery in Dearing.
Mr. Skinner was born in Augusta and was a longtime resident of Dearing. He was a retired Iron Worker and was a member of the Iron Workers Union #709 of Savannah.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bonnie C. Skinner; two sons, Henry C. Skinner, Thomson and David A. Skinner (Angie), Thomson; one daughter, Susan S. Small (Tim), Statesboro; two brothers, Jerry C. Skinner, Augusta and Bob Skinner, Florida; one sister, Norma Ward, Hephzibah; four grandchildren, Jessica Smith (Allen), Lisa M. Watkins, Kayla Watkins, and Ashlyn Skinner; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Smith and Shayne Smith.

Pallbearers were Joe Watkins, Jodie Dyches, Thelby Reed, Matthew Wiseman, Kevin Childs, and Allen Yergin.
