SPARTA, Ga. - Mrs. Leslie Joy Brooks Osborne, 26, died Thursday, October 18, 2007.
Services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Sparta Baptist Church with Rev. Alan McCoy and Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Burial followed at Sparta Cemetery.
Leslie was a lifelong resident of Sparta and was the Director of Nursing at the Sparta Health Care Center. She was a graduate of John Hancock Academy and Georgia College & State University where she received her bachelor's degree in nursing. She was a member of Sparta Baptist Church and taught Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, L.R. "Byrd" Brooks. Survivors include her husband, Clint Osborne; her daughter, Allie Joy Osborne; her parents, Tommy and Wanda Brooks, all of Sparta; her father and mother-in-law, Randy and Lynda Thigpen of Milledgeville; her brother, Richard Boyer (Jill) of Eatonton; her grandparents, John and Joy Hill of Sparta and Mary Brooks of Thomson.
