The Thomson Middle School Bulldogs are in quest of their second consecutive football championship today when they clash with the Louisville Middle School Eagles at The Brickyard.
Today's championship game, which begins at 5 p.m., allows Thomson an opportunity to defend their Super 10 Middle School Football Championship of a year ago when they defeated Washington County in Sandersville.
The Bulldogs defeated Hancock Middle School of Sparta 18-12 last Thursday to secure themselves another title shot. Louisville, meanwhile, which defeated Warren County 36-0 last week, recently defeated Thomson 8-6 in the last regular season game.
TMS Head Coach Nick Brinson promises "a showdown and a half."
"I think it's going to be 32-minutes of hard-nose football," Coach Brinson said.
