The Thomson Rotary Club and the St. Thomas Rotary Club are partnering to take on a service project in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Roger and Diana White of the St. Thomas Club visited Thomson this past Thursday to explore project options.
One area of interest for Mr. White is vocational education. He told Thomson Rotarians that his club assists Virgin Islands schools with automotive repair classes among other things.
The Whites took time after their presentation to tour the vocational education department of Thomson High School to take ideas back with them. THS Assistant Principal Mike Smallwood conducted the tour which highlighted the award-winning automotive classes.
