Mr. Jim Cartledge

THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Jim Cartledge of Thomson died October 18, 2005, at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 22, at 1 p.m. at First Mount Carmel Baptist church, Thomson, with Rev. Roscoe Perry, officiating.

Mr. Cartledge was born December 1, 1941, to Mr. Luther and the late Mrs. Mattie Lou Curry Cartledge in McDuffie County.

He is survived by his father, Mr. Luther Cartledge; one sister, Mrs. Mary Francis Dorsey, both of Thomson; one brother, Mr. Willie Frank Cartledge, Atlanta; three nieces, Dorenda Bowry, Mrs. Pamela (Christopher) Hampton, Mrs. Coretta (Phil) Harris; five nephews, Billy Frank Cartledge, Thomson, Mr. Kenneth (Dorothy) Cartledge, Dearing, Willie Cartledge, Jr., Warrenton, Christopher Leon Cartledge, Myrtle Beach S.C., and James Dorsey, Thomson; one brother-in-law, Fleming Dorsey, Dearing; and one sister-in-law, Mary Cartledge, Thomson.

Crawford-Pinkston-Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
