Mr. Willard Hardy
THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Willard Hardy, 85, beloved husband of Mrs. Katie Rose Hardy of Thomson, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2005 in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jerry McNutt officiating.
Mr. Hardy was a native of Columbia County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He had retired as a carpenter from the Wilson Homes after 35 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katie Rose Hardy, Thomson; his two sons, Gene Hardy and Jimmy Hardy, both of Thomson; his two grandchildren, Ben Hardy and Heather Jackson; his two sisters, Frances Newby, Dearing and Ella James, Grovetown; his three brothers, Clay Hardy, Grovetown, Richard Axon, Sylvester, Ga., and Carl Axon, Thomson and his three great-grandchildren.
