AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Albert Robert Tanner, Sr., 89, beloved husband of Margaret Louise Mosley Tanner, entered into rest Tuesday October 18, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospice.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Joey Thompson officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
A native of Macon, Mr. Tanner was the son of the late William Tanner and Sarah Ponder Tanner. He retired from the Otasco Company at Southgate Plaza as a store manager. He was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church where he was Deacon Emeritus and a member of the Jack Brown Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his sons, Albert R. Tanner, Jr. of Martinez, and Ronald A. Tanner of Evans; a brother, Julius W. Tanner of Thomson; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers were the Deacons of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church and members of the Jack Brown Sunday School Class.
