Thomson Kiwanis honored three outstanding members Monday night at the club's annual awards banquet.
New president Jim Ramsey was in charge of the group's event held at Thomson First Baptist Church.
Members and their spouses were in attendance for the awards dinner that included a performance by Eryn Eubanks and the Family Fold, a bluegrass/gospel/acoustic group from Augusta.
The club's 2007-08 Legion of Honor winner was Bill Beckum, who has been a member of the club for 25 years.
Carroll Hughes was awarded the Kiwanian of the Year award for his outstanding service to the club on the local, district and national level. Dr. Hughes was cited for his work on the club's successful pastor appreciation day.
The Kiwanis International Foundation's highest honor went to Bob Flanders. The George F. Hixson fellowship was bestowed on Mr. Flanders for his exemplary work in the club. The Hixson fellowship is an endowment established in 1983 honoring the first president of Kiwanis International.
All foundation funds are used in support of Kiwanis sponsored youth projects, disaster relief and for the needs of children around the world.
