Mesena Relay for Life team to benefit from home tour

The Mesena UM Church and Friends Relay For Life Team is sponsoring a tour of homes in and around Mesena. The event will be held Dec. 17 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The tour will begin at the historic Rock House, just outside of Mesena and will conclude at the home of Bobby and Martha Jackson on Cedar Rock Road, where participants will all gather at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and fellowship. Also featured will be the homes of Woody and Nancy Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Fowler, Thomas and Laverne Shelton, The Plyant/Bowden-Johnson home and the home of Rev. and Mrs. Alan Smith which was built by James Hardaway in 1842.

Advance tickets will cost $10 each, while tickets purchased on or after Dec. 10 and/or at the door will be $12 each. Tickets will go on sale Nov. 1.

Contact Nancy Thompson (706-595-4972) now to reserve your ticket. Proceeds from this event will go to the American Cancer Society, Mesena UM Church and Friends Relay For Life Team, Campaign 2007.
