AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Solomon C. Greene entered into rest Thursday, October 19, 2006, at the Medical College of Georgia.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 26, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. K.B. Martin officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Greene was a native of Emanuel County, U.S. Air Force Veteran, a 1966 graduate of Emanuel County High School, a graduate of North Carolina A&M University, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering and Augusta State University, where he received his MBA degree. He was Vice President of Pilgrim Health & Life Insurance Company and was presently employed as the Manager of Patients Accounts at the Medical College of Georgia.
Survivors are his wife, Loretta R. Greene; two daughters, Salina Allen, Johnson City, Tenn., and Bridgett (William) Cherry, Augusta; one son, Brandon Wiley, Augusta; one brother, Joseph D. (Barney) Greene, Thomson; three grandchildren, William Rashad Adams, Oliver Rashad Allen, and William Cherry, Jr.; nine sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and dear friends, Eddie and Catherine Williams.
