Mrs. Louise Reese Usry
Retired Textile Worker

LANGLEY, S.C. - Mrs. Louise Reese Usry, 69, of Langley, formerly of Thomson, died Sunday October 29, 2006, in the Medical College of Georgia.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Wednesday November 1, 2006 in the Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev. Bill South officiating. Burial followed in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shannon Johnson, Lamar Proctor, Joshua Hancock, Paul Ansley, Bobby Hadden and Boyd Duke.

Mrs. Usry was a daughter of the late Dewey and Marie Thigpen Reese. A native of Gibson, Mrs. Usry retired after more than 26 years of service from Seminole Mills. She attended Pine Grove Baptist Church in Langley, SC and was very active with volunteering to help the elderly.

Mrs. Usry is survived by daughters, Ramona Hancock of Thomson, Sherry and Dean Gills, of Augusta, Edna and Steve Morse, of Augusta, and Grable Teston, of Thomson; sons, Reginald Tip and Judy Usry, Jr., of Aiken, and Mickey and Mitzi Usry of Boneville, sister: Evelyn Teston, of Thomson; brothers, Larry Reese of Martinez and Bobby Reese of Martinez; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
