Mr. Fay L. Johnson

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Fay L. Johnson, 70, of North Augusta, entered into rest Monday, October 29, 2007, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2007, in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Everett and Rev. Wade Everett officiating. Interment was held at 4 p.m. at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson.

Pallbearers were Richard Welch, Kenon Reese, Keith Reese, Alex Phillips, Jr., Billy Kitchens, Glenn Kitchens, Brad Johnson and Newt Manly.

Mr. Johnson was a native of Glascock County, and had lived in North Augusta for the past 37 years. He was retired from Coca-Cola Company and Five Star Food Service. He was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Johnson of North Augusta; two sons, Martin Johnson (Angie) of Sylvania, Wayne Johnson (Natalie) of Augusta; one daughter, Sylvia Wallace (Michael) of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Bobby Gene Johnson (Loretta) of Vancleave, Miss.; two sisters, Lorena Johnson (Billy) and Katheren Reese, all of Thomson; seven grandchildren, Ty Wallace, Tara Taylor, Joshua Johnson, Austin Osment, Brett Johnson, Mark Wallace and Bryce Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Riley Wallace, Caleb Wallace, Conner Wallace and Logan Taylor.

Memorials may be made to Belvedere United Methodist Church, 202 Rhomboid Place, Belvedere, SC 29841.

Rowland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
