Mrs. Margaret McCorkle Beckum Retired Bank Auditor THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Margaret McCorkle Beckum died Saturday, October 30 , 2004, at her residence. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, in the Westview Cemetery with Dr. George Freeman officiating. Mrs. Beckum, a native and lifelong resident of McDuffie County, was the wife of the late Warren C. Beckum and the daughter of the late Sam W. and Kate S. McCorkle. She retired as auditor of First National Bank of Thomson after 32 years of service and was a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Whaldean M. Brunson, Thomson; and four sweet, kind and loving caregivers, Flory McNair, Ola Ivey, Virginia Hill and Kathy Stallworth.
