THOMSON, Ga.- Mrs. Dorothy M. Ennis, 78, widow of Mr. Luther Ennis of Cobbham Road, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 in St. Joseph Hospital in Augusta.
Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2004 in the Thomson Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Katie Strals officiating.
Mrs. Ennis was a native of Richmond County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a co-owner and founder of the Town & County Packing Company in Thomson and a member of the Young Memorial United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lamar and Carol Ennis, Thomson, Charlie and Kay Ennis, Warrenton; six grandchildren, Angie Reese, Marcie Guy, Larry Ennis, Jody Ennis, Melissa Grant and Christina Anderson; eight great-grandchildren and three caregivers, Marilyn Randall, Mary Kitchens and Priscilla Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the St. Joseph Inpatient Hospice at 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta , Ga. 30904.
