CADLEY, Ga. - Mrs. Blanche King McCord of Cadley Community in Warren County passed away on October 27, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton W. McCord, a son, Gene McCord, a stepson, Elliott McCord, and her sister, Jeanette Weaver.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Nancy McCord of Loveland, Col., and a nephew, Greg Weaver of Alpharetta, Ga.
Mrs. McCord was born in Greene County on July 25, 1919, to Edgar Roland and Lola Bruce King, however she lived most of her life in Warren County. She was a homemaker and a member of New Providence Baptist Church where she taught the Beginner Sunday School class for almost 20 years. At a later date she was teacher of the Junior Class for 10 years.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Friday October 31, 2008, at New Providence Baptist Church with Pastor Ray Rhodes, Jr., officiating.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
