THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. George Stewart, 69, beloved husband of Mrs. Garnet Stewart, died Saturday, November 1, 2008, in Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Hendley officiating. Burial was in the Powellton Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Stewart was a native of Taliaferro County, but had lived in Thomson for several years. He was a retired Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Garnet Stewart, Thomson; two daughters, Tracy Stewart and Susan Moulder, Loganville; three sons, Doug Stewart, McDonough, Wayne Stewart, Covington, and Dustin Stewart, Loganville; three brothers, Douglas Stewart, Washington, Leonard Stewart, Swainsboro, and Charles Stewart, Blairsville; his grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Daphne, Desirea, Justin, Kaycee, Benjamin, Karissa, Shelby, Miranda, Kenzie, Brendan, Skylar, Kaiden, Paul, Chrissy, and Aubrey; and his great-grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Connor, Braydon, and Camryn.
Pallbearers were Branden Delk, Justin Moulder, Blake Moulder, Wayne Stewart, Dustin Stewart, and James Woods.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
