THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Stovall Moore, 89, beloved wife of Mr. John Moore, of West Hall Street, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in the Thomson First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Thomson Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was a native of McDuffie County. She was a homemaker and had taught school in the Atlanta and Thomson School Systems. She was a 1938 graduate of the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She was a member of the Garden Study Club, the D.A.R., and the National Society of Colonial Dames. She was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. John Moore, Thomson; her daughter, Mrs. Connie Oare, Athens; her son, Mr. David Moore, Thomson; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Eric Oare, Brent Oare, Tommy Goodyear, Epp Wilson, Rusty Lovelace, and Ben Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomson First Baptist Church Capital Campaign.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
