Mr. Clarence L. Rogers
HARLEM, Ga. - Entered into rest Wednesday October 26, 2005, at his residence, Mr. Clarence L. Rogers, 85, husband of the late Mary Robbie Wells Rogers.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, October 28, 2005, at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerrry Pitman, John McMillian, Sr., and Todd Upchurch officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Rogers, a native of Lincoln County, had retired from Carter Construction Company as a Finish Carpenter and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for more than 50 years. He had also served as song leader and taught the Men's Adult Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lee Rogers of Harlem; one sister, Fannie Ruth Clements, of McBean, Ga. and numerous nieces and nephews.
