The drum majors for the year 2004 are senior Blakely Holley, junior Amy Weimar, and sophomore Jonathon Weischedel.
The try-out process for being a drum major involves a two-day clinic and then trying out separately. They have to perform vocal commands, a marching demonstration, conducting patterns, a prepared piece, and an interview.
This is Blake's second year being a drum major. He has been a member of the THS band for four years now and has enjoyed every bit of his saxophone playing high school career. In his spare time he enjoys playing the guitar.
As for Amy and Jonathon, this is their first year being a drum major.
Amy has been a member of the Bulldog Brigade for three years playing the French horn. In her spare time she takes karate lessons at Martial Arts America (she is a black belt). She also is very active in her church and youth group.
This is Jonathon's second year in the band. He plays the tenor saxophone. In Jonathon's spare time, he enjoys going to the lake and hanging out with his friends.
