Ban would deter second-hand exposure Letter to the Editor Dear Editor, I believe that the McDuffie County Commissioners should approve a ban on smoking in public places in McDuffie County. Second hand smoke is harmful to a person's health, and I feel a smoking ban would deter a person's exposure to this risk as well as those who are allergic to smoke.
