AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Carolyn Baggott Aycox, 80, wife of the late William T. Aycox entered into the hands of the Lord on November 9, 2008.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend C. Aaron Aycox officiating.
Mrs. Aycox was born in Dearing to the late J.B. Baggott and Leila Baggott, and resided in Augusta for many years. She was a member of the Bayvale Baptist Church and Choir and the Tel Sunday School Class. She retired from the Richmond County Board of Education after 26 years of service. Her enjoyments in life were her church, gospel events and family gatherings.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy A. McGahee and husband, Steve, Augusta; three sons, Craig B. Aycox and wife, Sherry, Dearing, Michael A. Aycox and wife, Jeanne, Martinez, and Robin T. Aycox, Augusta; grandchildren, C. Aaron Aycox, Steven A. Aycox, Curtis J. Aycox, Steven N. McGahee, Amanda J. Aycox, David A. Aycox, Lauren B. Aycox, Misty Candt; and five great-grandchildren, Shelby Aycox, Madison Aycox, Colby Woods, Jaden Candt and Evan Candt.
She was preceded in death by a brother Oliver L. Baggott. The family will be receiving friends at Bayvale Baptist Church fellowship hall following the graveside service.
Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
