The Thomson-McDuffie County Area Community Chorus will present the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Thomson.
This special event was begun in 1987 and through the years, it has become a community tradition enjoyed by many.
The presentation this year will be directed by Rev. Newt Hendrix, Minister of Music at First Baptist Church of Thomson.
Soloists for the concert will be Jeanne Joesbury, Soprano; Cindy Rivers, Alto; James M. Isom, Tenor and Ben Howell, Jr., Bass. The Magellan String Quartet from Augusta will provide accompaniment, along with Robert Parris, Professor of Organ and Music History at Mercer University in Macon.
The community is invited to attend and enjoy this presentation. There is no charge for admission.
