Stephen and Betty Sue Palmer of Thomson would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffany Olivia Palmer of Clarkesville, Tenn., to Christopher Michael Shedd of Fort Campbell, Kent. He is the son of Tracy Corcoran of St. Paul, Minn., and Tom Shedd of Twin Cities, Minn.
Tiffany is the granddaughter of the late Andy and Boots Tilby and the late Johnny and Glenna Palmer. She attended Judson College and Middle Tennessee State University, and is an honor graduate of Austin Peay State University, Clarkesville, Tennessee, with a Masters degree in arts. Tiffany is an English professor at Austin Peay State University.
Chris is the grandson of George and Mary Nelsen and Bea Shedd and the late Leslie Shedd. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Century College, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, with an associates degree in arts. He is a sergeant in the 2nd/17th Calvary unit of the 101st Division Screaming Eagles in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Chris recently returned from a tour in Iraq.
The wedding will be held Dec. 16, 2006, at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
