THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Kay Lovitt Meier, 66, of Thomson, entered into rest November 10, 2006 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Larry D. Meier.
Graveside services were held at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Meier Family Cemetery, 3633 Wrens Hwy, Thomson, Ga. with Dr. C. Don Manning officiating.
Mrs. Meier was a native of Utica, Kansas but lived in Columbia and McDuffie Counties for over 20 years. She was retired as a para-professional from Columbia County Schools and was a member of the First Christian Church in Utica, Kansas. Mrs. Meier was a wonderful, loving and kind wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed by her family and friends.
Additional survivors include her mother, Waneta Lovitt, Martinez; daughters, Dee Newton (Sam), Martinez and Marla Lockhart (Charles), Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Ross Newton, Tripp Boyd, and WalkerBoyd.
Mrs. Meier was predeceased by her father, Francis Lovitt, and her sister, Peggy Lovitt.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
