Mr. Alvis A. Dye TYRONE, Ga. - Mr. Alvis A. Dye, 77, husband of Mrs. Ruby H. Dye, of Tyrone, entered into rest Thursday, November 10, 2005. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2005, in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mitchell, Ga., with the Rev. Tony Key officiating. Mr. Dye, a native of Glascock County, was a self employed general contractor. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, Robert Dye, of Canton; four daughters, Emma Freeman, Grantville, Daphene Chaffin, Grantville, Nancy High, Dearing, and Alicia Dye, Grantville; one brother, Archie Dye, Houston, Texas; two sisters, Gypsy Strickland and Katie May Brewer, both of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
