GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Louise Peebles Newman entered into rest Thursday, November 10, 2005 in Doctors Hospital. She was the widow of the late Mr. Lindsey Newman.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 13, 2005, at 2 p.m. at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Thigpen officiating. Interment was in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Music was furnished by Tammy Boswell.
Family members are four sons, Robert Newman (Bonnie) of Appling, Wayne Newman and Curtis Newman (Brenda) of Grovetown and Larry Newman of Aiken; one daughter, Betty Smith (Harvey) of Grovetown; four sisters, Gladys Hammett, Vera Allen, Lois Tankersley and Dorothy McNair, all of Thomson; 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by three stepdaughters, Dorothy Pippins, Claudine Reese and Mildred Brown; two brothers, James Peeples and Bill Peebles; and one sister,Ellen Russell.
Mrs. Newman was born in Stapleton, a homemaker, a member of Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Grovetown Senior Center.
