Smith takes first place in horse competition Evans Smith, daughter of Barrett and Gina Smith of Thomson, recently competed at the Jasmine Farm Show in Aiken, S.C. She won her division with a record low score of 23.8. Her dressage was nearly perfect with a score of 9 out of a possible 10 in one movement. She then had a clean round for jumping, which put her in first place. Evans Smith is pictured with her horse, Bow Tie. Evans, 10, is a fifth grade student at Briarwood Academy.
