THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Berma Ansley Gibson, 78, of Thomson, entered into rest November 11, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Sterling T. "Gibby" Gibson.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Westview Cemetery with Jerry Carpenter officiating.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Columbia County, but lived in McDuffie County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Earl Ansley and the late Chessie Fulbright Ansley. Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker and a member of Whiteoak United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Vickie Gibson, Thomson; son: Sterling "Bubba" Gibson and wife, Lori, Thomson; sisters: Sara Burke, Decatur, Ga., and Bernice Pike, Long Beach, Cal.; grandchild: Sam Gibson; step-grandchild: Tyler Owens; sister-in-law: Thelma G. Crosby, Savannah; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Whiteoak United Methodist Church c/o Margie Morris , P.O. Box 158 Appling, GA 30802.
Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
