MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Graveside services for Mrs. Helen Lucille Beard Carter, 89, who died November 16, 2006, were conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Jackson Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. Dan McKay officiating.
Mrs. Carter was a native of Aiken County, SC, a former resident of Ellenton and Thomson, having made McDonough her recent home. She was a Baptist, the wife of the late Cecil Carter, Sr. and mother of the late Robert Neil Carter.
Survivors include a son, Norman C. Carter, Jr., Seattle, WA; two daughters, Carolyn Thompson and Shelby Cathcart, both of McDonough, nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.

Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home of North Augusta was in charge of arrangements.
