Mrs. Tannie Jo Milburn Chalker
Retired Nurse

GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Tannie Jo Milburn Chalker, 64, loving wife of the late Mr. Garvin Chalker, entered into rest Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Lamb and Rev. Bill Seaman officiating. Internment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Chalker was a native of Glascock County. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and she served on the Glascock County Board of Education for 13 years. She was an L.P.N. for many years.

Mrs. Chalker is survived by three daughters, Wanda Wood and her husband, Ronnie, of Gibson, Sherri Epps and her husband, Sean, of Thomson and Tyana Martin and her husband, Ron, of Harlem; one brother, Keith Milburn of Harlem; two sisters, Karen Waldron of Athens and Cynthia Milburn of Loganville; six grandchildren, Jerry Wood, Bob Wood, Haley Epps, Casey Epps, Jared Martin and Jayden Martin; one great-grandchild, Mason Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Edna Milburn.

Pallbearers were Jerry Wood, Greg Milburn, Sean Waldron, Joe Dean Usry, Robert Kinner and Roy Sammons.

Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in care of Mrs. Elsie Milburn, 712 Calhoun St., Gibson, GA 30810.

Sheppard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
