HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Edward Kitchens, 60, entered into rest Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Burke County Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2006 at James Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Sam Collins officiating. Burial followed at Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Kitchens was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the Zoar United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Margaret Kitchens and brother, Wayne Kitchens.
Survivors include a son, Mike (Doris) Kitchens of Davisboro; one sister, Eva K. Newsome of Harlem; two brothers, Warren (Frankie) Kitchens of Thomson, David Kitchens of Gibson; one sister-in-law, Rosa Lee Kitchens of Matthews.
Pallbearers were Brad Kitchens, Billy Kitchens, Glenn Kitchens, Randall Payne, Everett Hobbs, Hal Keller and Ken Richardson.
James Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
