Thomson High School recently named Ann Pereda as the school's Teacher of the Year.

"I was surprised and honored to be recognized as teacher of the year," said Mrs. Pereda.
Mrs. Pereda, an educator for 22 years, currently teaches chemistry and physics. Her goals are to encourage her students to do the best they can and to make sure they are prepared for the next step, no matter what it may be.
She treasures her job and students.
"Being teacher of the year validates my job, and makes me feel like all the hours I put in are worth it," said Mrs. Pereda.
