Candlelight tours of Hickory Hill on Dec. 3 Historic Hickory Hill will be open for a "Moonlight & Magnolias Tour" on Saturday, Dec. 3. Hickory Hill, the historic home of Populist Senator Thomas E. Watson, will conduct candlelight tours of the mansion following the Christmas tree-lighting at the Festival Off Main in Thomson. The fully restored Greek Revival mansion will be decked in all of her Edwardian holiday finery. Learn about Christmas traditions in the South, and a few Christmas superstitions.Tours will be given at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per person. The tour is not recommended for children under age 10. Reservations are required. Call 595-7777 to reserve tickets. The Museum Shop will be open during the tours.
