Mrs. Betty Jean Morgan Duke
Retired teacher

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Jean Morgan Duke, 75, of Thomson, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Ga. at a later date.

Mrs. Duke was a native of Savannah and had lived in Thomson for a few years. She was a retired school teacher with the Columbia County School System.

Survivors include her two daughters, Karen (Tom) Holley, Thomson and Catherine Clause, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a sister, Martha Ann Wald, Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Julius Morgan, Daytona Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jessica Joyce Clause, Alexandria Jean Clause, Charles Anthony Clause, Jr., Mary Beth Holley and Blakely Thomas Holley and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Joyce Clause.
