THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Jeremy Todd Brooks, 36 of Roy Reeves Rd. Thomson, Ga. entered into rest November 22, 2006, at the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Missy Jones Brooks.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Garvin and Tony Pate officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Daryl Wiley, Matt Boswell, Kelly Guy, Mike Sowell, Glen Scouten, Jeff McGahee, Wayne Clark, Scott Corbitt, Sammy Purvis, Chris Mohr, Scott Stamper.
Mr. Brooks was born in Ware County, grew up in Alma, Ga., and lived in Thomson for the past 20 years. He was a 1989 graduate of Thomson High School and was a home improvement contractor. Mr. Brooks was owner of Live Wire Crickett Company and co-owner of Airtight Insulation Company. He was also a full-time volunteer coach with McDuffie County Recreation Department and was very active with Mighty Bucs football at Briarwood Academy. The family said that Todd was a dedicated father and loved everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Missy Jones Brooks,Thomson; sons: Payton Brooks (11) and Porter Brooks (7); daughter, Phoebe Brooks (3); parents: Joe L. Brooks and Bonnie Wade Brooks, Thomson; brothers: Steven Brooks and wife, Michelle , Thomson, Derek Brooks, Gibson; sister: Tonya Reed and husband, Mike, Thomson.
