NORWOOD, Ga. - Mr. Lonnie Gerald Wheeler, 78, beloved husband of Mrs. Alice Duckworth Wheeler of Ridge Road died Thursday November 23, 2006 at the Thomson Manor Health Care Center.
Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Howell Cemetery Ridge Road Norwood with the Rev. Lee Ellis officiating.
Mr. Wheeler, a native of Fayette County, WV, had been a resident of Warren County since 1959. He was a retired steel cutter with Jebco, Inc. of Warrenton. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Duckworth Wheeler, Norwood, one daughter, Sherry Wheeler Rovolis, Richmond Hill, Ga., one son, Lonnie G. Wheeler, Jr. McDonough, Ga., one sister, Margie Rakes, Fayetteville, WV, and three grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, and Teddy.
Pallbearers were Judson Lazenby, Bobby Thigpen, Lewis Thigpen, Robert Waller, Tommy Duckworth, and Ronny Duckworth.
