Mr. Donald Edward Duckworth, Sr.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Mr. Donald Edward Duckworth, Sr., husband of the late Shirley Lavon Duckworth, entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2005.

The relatives and friends of Mr. Donald E. Duckworth, Sr. were invited to attend his funeral services Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Duckworth was born August 8, 1926 in Mexico, Mo., a son of Porter Allen and Helen Marie Johnson Duckworth. He was retired from Lockhead Aircraft Corp. as plant manager. He was a member of Nelms Masonic Lodge, Omar Shrine, Scottish Rite and B.P.O.E. He was Past President of St. Andrews Rotary Club, Past President of Charleston Rifle Club and former Board Member for the Boy Scouts of America. He was a Navy Veteran.

Surviving is a son, Donald E. Duckworth, Jr.; three daughters, Carol Duckworth of Thomson., Judy Jenkins of Dallas, Ga. and Mary Smith of Ravenel, S.C.; a brother, Kenneth Marvin Duckworth of Wichita, Ks.; a sister, Dorothy Jones of Wichita; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Duckworth.

Memorials may be made to the: Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Greenville Unit, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.
