Dearing players on championship team From Staff Reports Three students from Dearing were part of the recent Augusta Christian state championship football team. Senior Austin Greene, junior Clayton Adams and freshman Micah Herriman played for the Lions in their first-ever state title in football, the South Carolina Independent School Association AAA championship. Clayton Adams and Austin Greene pose for a photo after the championship game. Greene even scored a touchdown in the 24-7 win over Porter Gaud during the state championship game at the South Carolina State University stadium in Orangeburg.
