Thanks for the poppy support Thank you Thomson. On Saturday, Nov. 20, the Men and Women of VFW Post 7778 conducted its' most recent Buddy Poppy fund drive at the local Wal-Mart in Thomson. All the veterans participating in this fund drive would like to say "Thank You" to the gracious people of the Thomson/McDuffie County area. Your generous donations are used to assist veterans in need, promote patriotic educational programs in schools and to support our active duty service members. The majority of money collected is utilized right here in the local area. Also, we would like to thank the management and staff of Wal-Mart.
