Mrs. Belle Braswell
Retired Bookkeeper

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Belle "Mama Belle" Braswell, 82, of Thomson, entered into rest November 24, 2008, at McDuffie Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at Powell Baptist Church with Revs. Jim Martin and Randall Whitaker officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Braswell was born in Columbia County and was the daughter of the late Walter Jones and the late Marie Jones. She was retired as a bookkeeper from General Tire and was a member of Powell Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters: Gayle Francis and Vickie Crawford, both of Thomson; four sisters: Eleanor Blazer, Augusta, Mary McGahee, Dearing, and Lily Gay and Margueritte Williams, both of Augusta; grandchildren: Esther Hobbs (Hal) and Shane Taylor (Nikki); great- grandchildren: Amber Greene (Adam), Caitlin Wells, Braxton Taylor, Gage Taylor and Gavin Taylor.

Pallbearers were Adam Greene, James Prince, David Williams, Hal Hobbs, Steve McGahee and Gerald Heath.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
