GIBSON, Ga. - Mr. James Earl Buckner, 71, entered into rest Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the University Hospital, Augusta.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gibson First Baptist Church with Rev. Jarrod Adkins officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Buckner is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Alice Templeton Buckner; two stepsons, Bob Norton of Danielsville and Chuck Norton of Augusta; two stepdaughters, Connie Price of Gibson and Jan Rushing of Augusta; four sisters, Glenda Hooper, Patsy Buckner, Marie Scroggs, all of Clearwater, S.C., and Kay Newsome of Windsor, S.C.; several grandchildren.
Pallbearers were the men of the Gibson First Baptist Church.
Sheppard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
