THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James Woodrow McDonald, 89, beloved husband of Mrs. Ruth "Bobbie" McDonald, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in the University Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, in the Pine Grove Baptist Church, with the Revs. Butch Baston and Patrick Devane officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. McDonald was a native of McDuffie County. He was retired from the Georgia-Carolina Warehouse and Compress. He was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth "Bobbie" McDonald, Thomson; five daughters, Martha (Tony) Furr, Augusta, Sandra (Jimmy) Malone, Thomson, Doris (Jimmy) Miller, Gibson, Connie McDonald, Augusta, and Wanda (Terry) Smith, Graniteville, S.C.; a son, Jerry McDonald, Augusta; a brother, Gene Luke, Thomson; a sister, Ollie Mae Harley. Thomson; 21 grandchildren, 32, great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Masters, Curtis Kitchens, Darrell Maciejewski, Preston Cruz, Wayne Easler and Daniel Kitchens.
Curtis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
