Twenty-three development decision makers toured the nine-county region including McDuffie County trying to help their employers decide which county would offer the best business climate for start up, relocation or expansion.
John Perryman with Georgia Power and Wendy Bibb from the state Department of Economic Development lead the day-and-a-half tour, which Development Authority Chairman Riley Stamey said would certainly include a stop at McDuffie County's Stone Industrial Park at I-20. The near-completion of sewer service to that first 72 acre site, other recent progress in the development and it's proximity to I-20 will lend itself favorably to the group, he said.
The Region Seven tour rapped up last Thursday and afforded each community the opportunity to market itself directly to the decision makers.
