Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Kinney Hunt
Retired Jefferson EMC

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Kinney Hunt, 74 of Thomson, entered into rest November 28, 2006 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of William "Billy" Erby Hunt, Jr.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, Thomson, with Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Don Newsome, Beeman Barnett, Jerry Williams, James Talkington, Fred Perdue, Joe McCommons, Bobby Jones and Lamar McKinney. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Agape Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Hunt was a native of Wilkes County, but lived in McDuffie County since 1951. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Marshall Kinney and the late Suedelle Rogers Kinney. Mrs. Hunt worked with the Wilson Company for 25 years and retired as a Clerk from Jefferson EMC in 1997. She was also a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Agape Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, William "Billy" Erby Hunt, Jr., Thomson; son and daughter-in-law, William Erby Hunt III (Bill) and Tammy Hunt, Lincolnton; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Hunt Williams and Scott Williams, Thomson; grandchildren, Taylor Marshall Williams and Harper Alexis Williams, Thomson; brothers, Emory Kinney (Gwen), Greenville, S.C., Larry Kinney (Marie), LaPorte, Texas; sister, Sadie Kinney Golden, Augusta.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Capital Campaign, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, Ga. 30824 or the American Cancer Society.

Beggs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
