Parade shows need for parental control

Dear Editor,

I really enjoyed this year's parade; the floats were decorated very well. My only complaint is with the crowd that attended.

Parents need to learn how to control their children. Some of the citizens in this county are thoughtless, inconsiderate, and basically rude. I've seen farm animals that are better behaved. Some of the kids pushed other kids out of the way just so they could have another piece of candy. Some of the kids were so far in the middle of the road, as in past the centerline, just to get candy.

Next year, I suggest having the parade, but either give out no candy or having police officers at the curb controlling the crowd. If these suggestions seem unfair and are not taken into consideration then next year after the parade is over, there most likely will be a fatality.
