THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. James Sewell, of Thomson, entered into rest December 5, 2006, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Betty Sewell.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday December 8, 2006 at Faith Baptist Church with Revs. Don Widener and Tim Ferrell officiating.
Pallbearers were Paul Cook, Michael Cook, Jeffery Cook, Bryan Rogers, Tommy Cato and Jason Norris.
Interment followed in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Sewell was born in Greene County, but lived in McDuffie County for the past 71 years. He was the son of the late R. E. Sewell and the late Cleo Gresham Sewell. He was retired as a truck driver from National Homes Corp. with 34 years of service. Mr. Sewell was also a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife: Betty Guillebeau Sewell, Thomson; two sons: Rick Sewell (Iris), Thomson, Stephen Sewell (Jamie), Thomson; daughter: Sonya Hawkins ( David), Thomson; grandchildren: Dwayne Sewell (Angie), Jenny Campbell (Kevin), Christopher Hinton, Kimberly Hawkins and Chris Hawkins; great-grandchildren: Brittany Highfill, Will Campbell and Tyler Sewell.
